To be considered for rehousing and to search and bid for properties you must first register on Island HomeFinder.
Registration is a 2 stage process;
Stage 1 – Complete a Housing Options Assessment
Stage 2 - Complete a Housing Register Application
You need to complete both processes in order to submit your Application.
When you complete your Housing Options Assessment you will be given an Island HomeFinder reference number and you will be asked to choose a memorable date. You will need to note both so that you can log in and manage your account.
Once you have completed the assessment you will be advised from the answers that you have given whether you qualify to apply for Island HomeFinder. If you are, you will then be able to progress onto the Island HomeFinder application form.
To will be required to provide proof that you are a Qualifying Person to register on Island HomeFinder. Details of how somebody qualifies and examples of the types of evidence that would be sufficient can be found here. You can upload documents directly to Island HomeFinder on your My Account page.
Once you have submitted your Housing application, it will be assessed and placed in one of five housing need bands. Applicants with an urgent need for rehousing are normally placed in Band 1, while those with a lower level of need are placed in lower bands. Applicant who have no identified housing needs who are placed in band 5.

If at any stage during your registration you receive a message to advise you are already registered on Island HomeFinder, you can attempt to retrieve your login details on the Login page.
